WAIT, WHAT IS THIS?

Characters come and go here at the Mini Quest Tavern. Our stories and quests change. Each set of shows follows a new scripted campaign, with different monsters, NPC's and storyline.

There are usually a maximum of 40 available seats at our five player tables. These tickets will be the higher price. There are 8 seats per table. Each table will work together to direct one of the actors. There are 9 actors who portray "hero" characters, but only 5 heroes will be chosen. These characters introduce themselves at the start of the show, and each table gets to pick the hero they want to play. They are then given the character sheet for that hero. They will have D20 dice and a bell to ring when it's time to make a decision for their character and they need to get the DM's attention.

After each player table chooses their hero, the DM is introduced and he starts the story. The characters then act out the whole story and adventure using the entire room. As directed by their players - They fight monsters, interact with NPC's, (Non Player Characters), solve puzzles, and make decisions which change the direction of the story. At times during the night, the DM (Dungeon Master) may ask the player tables "what does the party do?" - and it's time to decide what your character will say or do, ring your bell and announce your decision. If you are very creative or wise, you may please the DM enough for him to reward you with an "inspiration" coin, which you can spend any time during the game to re-roll a bad roll of the dice.

At intermission, the entire audience uses their cell phones to vote on one of three paths the heroes will take to complete the quest.

People at the General Admission (non-player) tables get to help name people, places, and items in the game, and they vote with everyone else at intermission.

If you are unfamiliar with D&D, the play is still simple enough to grasp the basics and have fun. If you are familiar with D&D, remember that we have greatly simplified the ruleset and combat mechanics to focus on entertainment and completing a full quest from start to finish in two hours.

When we perform at the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, the Museum staff and volunteers will have concessions and game night snacks available for sale.

On game night, if we have players seats still available and you want to upgrade your general admission ticket to a player ticket, you can pay to do that at the door.

Our show is delightful for tweens, teens and adults, but not geared for very young children (under 8)
